The mission of Adaptive Technologies, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is to fundamentally improve the lives of individuals with disabilities using adaptive and assistive technologies. Our vision is focused on increasing inclusivity and independence through innovative solutions, aiming to empower those affected by providing essential support, education, and fostering community ties.
Steve’s journey begins after a spinal cord injury (SCI) in 2015, involving a significant recovery process, rehabilitation, and adaptation to a new way of life with the aid of technology. Despite the challenges, including fighting for Medicaid support and modifying his home for independence, Steve managed to maintain his technology business, advocate for people with disabilities, and work towards establishing a nonprofit to assist others in accessing home assistive technologies, demonstrating resilience and innovation in the face of adversity.
